Best time to post on Vinted? what the sources say
"Always list on a Sunday evening!" We went looking for where that tip comes from. Here's what Vinted has actually published, what it hasn't, and how to find the time slot that works for you.

"List on Sunday evening." You've probably read it in a group, a comment or a video, sometimes with precise percentages or an hour-by-hour chart. But where does it come from?
We looked for the source. There is one official figure from Vinted, but it's more modest than the tip suggests, and it isn't about the UK. Here's what it says, what it doesn't, and a simple way to find your best slot from your own listings.

What Vinted has actually published
The only official source on member activity times we found is a press release published by Vinted on 21 November 2023, celebrating 10 years in France. Under the heading "in 2023, in France", it says that members are most active from 6pm and that Sunday is the favourite day to buy.
Read it carefully:
- It covers France, in 2023. We found no equivalent figures published by Vinted for the UK, Ireland or the US.
- No methodology is published (how activity was measured, over what period).
- It's an observation, not advice: Vinted doesn't say you should list at 6pm.
- There's no breakdown by hour or category. Hour-by-hour charts circulating online don't come from this release.
Be wary of precise figures
We found no public study with a methodology on posting times on Vinted, and we found no posting-time recommendation in Vinted's Help Centre either.
Why timing might matter (or not)
To see whether timing could play a part, look at Vinted's official page on recommended content (English version, read on vinted.com), which lists 15 parameters. Three relate to timing:
- "Time since item upload": Vinted uses it to estimate how likely a listing is to sell.
- Promoted content: Vinted says new listings and paid promotion services get extra visibility, through rules that limit how often they appear.
- "Number of interactions an item has already collected" (impressions, favourites, clicks): the interest a listing has already attracted.
Our reading: a fresh listing posted when you can answer messages quickly may pick up its first interactions sooner. But we found no published weighting of these parameters against the others (filters, price, description, photos…). Timing is only one piece of the puzzle.
A fourth parameter matters for organisation: "Listing frequency". When a seller uploads many items in a short period, Vinted says it spreads their visibility proportionately. So listing your whole wardrobe in one evening isn't necessarily a good idea.
We go through all 15 parameters in Vinted Algorithm: What Vinted Officially Publishes.
Find your own time slot
Buying habits may vary by category (kidswear, trainers, designer, sportswear…) and by audience. So the best source is you. A simple method:
- Pick a few slots to compare: weekday evening, lunchtime, weekend. Think about your own schedule too: if you list at 6pm but can only reply at 11pm, you lose the benefit of being online at the right time.
- Compare similar listings: same category, same price range, listed at different times.
- Note the first signals: favourites, messages and offers in the 24 to 48 hours after listing.
- Repeat over several weeks: one listing proves nothing.
- Change one thing at a time: if you change the time AND the photo AND the price, you won't know what made the difference.

Being available to answer messages and offers matters too: our guide to handling offers on Vinted can help you reply quickly and clearly.
What matters more than the time
Posting at the "right" time won't help much if the listing is incomplete. Several of the parameters Vinted publishes are entirely in your hands:
- Item details (category, brand, size, colour, condition, photos): Vinted lists them under "Item ontology", and they feed the filters buyers use.
- The description: Vinted uses it to measure how relevant an item is to a search.
- The price: Vinted's English help page on choosing a price (read on vinted.com) says that a price lower than its catalogue average might help an item find a buyer sooner.
- The first photo: Vinted's UK Catalogue Rules say "The first photo should clearly represent the whole item", and photos must be sharp, clear and represent the item as it is. Our guide on the first photo buyers see goes further.
Transparency: Vendy Studio is our product, an AI photo studio. Vinted's UK Catalogue Rules say photos "have to represent the item as it is - no image editing is allowed" and must be taken by you for use on Vinted: keep real photos of your item, its labels and its flaws, and check the current rules before using any generated image. Sources and method
Method. Written by the Vendy Studio team on 30 October 2026 as an English-language version of our French article, adapted for readers in the UK, Ireland and the US. We looked for a primary source on Vinted member activity times: the only one we found is Vinted's French press release of 21 November 2023, which covers France and is not used here as a recommendation for other countries. We found no other public primary source with a methodology on posting times on Vinted. Some Vinted help pages could not be opened on vinted.co.uk; we read their English version on vinted.com and say so in the text. The practical tips (test method, organisation) are our common-sense suggestions and don't guarantee any result. No internal data, testimonials or invented statistics.
